Hola, I’m Janet! But everyone calls me Flaka. 

I moved from Mexico City to the U.S. at 5 years old, working hard to earn my bachelor’s degree in business and later my MBA. I get married, become a mom, buy my own casita at 25, obtain naturalization citizenship in the US, earn my Certified Safety and Health Official and Senior Professional in HR credentials, and build a 6-figure career. 

I had it all! Until I suffered a devastating miscarriage at 10 weeks. 

The pain almost destroyed me, but I leaned on my faith, my community, and therapy… and started healing. 

In the process, I discovered that my pain had a purpose. And now I’m on a mission to put all my years of HR work toward helping Latinas and first-gen professionals fulfill their true potential.
